"I can’t think of a single other show from North America that centers around Sikh characters." Yea me neither. Just for that, the show sounds super interesting. I might have to go with the creative ways to get it but I'll add to my list for sure!
💯 The cultural aspects are super interesting. The show does a great job keeping things casual and integrated into the story while educating the viewer on Sikh religion and culture. Sometimes other shows can slow down the plot a bit to explain what’s going on. I found that sometimes in Never Have I Ever on Netflix, with McEnroe narrating Hinduism a bit awkwardly. Late Bloomer does an amazing job at viewer cultural immersion.
That's so hard to do! Even in the Pitt for example it felt weird when they would try and make some commentary on things and switch to education. I can't wait to check it out. I'm so glad I get to discover shows like this thanks to you guys
